As I didn’t attend school in the US, I was surprised to see how class pages can be accessed by the public. I entered the website of Chiles High School, and the class pages published by a Spanish teacher caught my attention. She designed a website where she included relevant information about her methodology as a teacher. One thing that stood out to me was seeing how she created a Quizlet with important terms for students to review for her exams. She also included a schedule of the hours when she is available during the weekdays to tutor students who may need additional help to understand the topics. https://www.leonschools.net/Page/35429

Even though I don’t aspire to be a teacher in the future, various technology tools we have learned to use in class could be beneficial as a psychologist. Google Calendar is a great tool for keeping track of meetings with clients. In addition, Microsoft Word would be useful for writing informational newsletters to spread awareness of mental health issues. Lastly, Canva and PowerPoint are great tools for making brochures to share important information with clients and their families. In general,  psychology as a career also involves a lot of teaching to others.

I really enjoyed working on assignment 2 as it gave us the perspective of how professors use Canvas. The system was relatively user-friendly, but the in-class demonstration was extremely useful as it made the working process a lot easier. One thing I liked was the many features available, as we were able to decorate our pages to our liking. However, one thing that could be improved is the collaborative feature, as we couldn't see what other members were working on until they saved their changes. For collaborative writing, Google Docs is a better option, but the Canvas group tool was great overall.
